Brett Macdonald is stepping aside as CEO of Dry July Foundation to take on a new role as the Managing Director of Ezy Raise, after spearheading the organisation for 13 years.

Ezy Raise, previously known as CHIL Fundraising, has been acquired by an international investor group including Brett Macdonald. This move is to better support its continuing rapid growth.

In the new role, Macdonald will lead a team dedicated to helping the peer-to-peer platform provider’s clients put on world-class online fundraising events.

As part of the move, Dry July Foundation’s General Manager Katie Evans is taking the reins as the foundation’s new CEO.

The all-in-one, fully responsive Ezy Raise platform allows nonprofits to fully control content, communications and data for their peer-to-peer fundraising events.

During the past few years the Ezy Raise platform has established itself as a world leading P2P platform supporting clients and campaigns in the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

The platform has been embraced by a growing list of charities, including CARE Australia, Sir David Martin Foundation and the Taronga Conservation Society.

“As a result of the success of the campaigns and global demand from charities to use the leading fundraising platform, I will now be focused on the growth and development of the fundraising platform as Managing Director under a new organisation called Ezy Raise,” Macdonald says.

“Dry July will become a client of Ezy Raise for its annual campaign, along with the Ezy Raise team’s extensive experience driving growth through digital fundraising, we’re looking forward to helping more and more charities create and execute their online, virtual fundraising campaigns.

“If your organisation is looking to exceed your fundraising ambitions, and utilise best of breed global features, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.”

Since its launch in 2008, Dry July Foundation has raised a grand total of over $60 million to fund more than 80 cancer support organisations in Australia. The much-needed funds have helped to improve patient care, comfort and wellbeing.
