Grant:  ACT Government – 2021 Youth InterACT Grants Program

Areas of support: This Grant Program seeks applications for innovative new projects that enable young people aged 12 – 25 years old to lead and participate in community development activities targeted for other young people in Canberra and the region. The aim of the 2020-21 Youth InterACT Grant Program is to support young Canberrans to actively engage and connect with other young people in the community.

Grant: Australian Government Department of Business – Safer Communities Fund, Round 6 – Early Intervention grants

Areas of support: Safer Communities Fund Round Six Early Intervention grants target organisations with demonstrated experience in providing early intervention activities to youth at high risk to prevent them from engaging in criminal activity or anti-social behaviour.

Grant value: $200,000-$1.5 million 

Grant:  Mental Health Month NSW 2021 Small Grants

Areas of support: Organisations and community groups can apply for a small grant to help organise an event during October to raise awareness about mental health in their local area. Small grant applications are available across the following categories: general; culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD); sex, sexuality and/or gender diverse (LGBTIQA+); Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander; youth.

Application deadline: 23 July 2021

Grant value: Grants of either $1,000 or $500. Grants that are unsuccessful in the $1000 category will automatically be considered for a $500 grant.

Grant:  Department of Communities Tasmania: Supporting Women to Succeed Grant Program 2021

Areas of support: Funding for organisations to support cultural change and improve outcomes for women in industry. This can be through existing projects, or to develop and deliver new projects. Applications are sought for projects that: Improve the attraction of women to non-traditional fields of employment; Increase the recruitment of women into non-traditional fields of employment; Support the retention of women in non-traditional fields of employment; Promote leadership pathways for women in their chosen fields of employment.

Application deadline: 25 July 2021

Grant value: $10,000 – $200,000

Grant:  RACQ Foundation – Round 2 2021

Areas of support: RACQ Foundation helps impacted community groups recover from flooding, weather events, drought, bushfire and other natural disasters. The grant must be used to: pay for material items or something tangible; have a positive community impact; cover the costs incurred by the organisation in relation to the cleaning and restoration of property with any disaster mitigation works forming a component of the overall grant.

Application deadline: 2 August 2021

Grant value:  Typically up to $50,000. Up to $100,000 under exceptional circumstances.

Areas of support: To support community organisations to host events or activities on Thank a Volunteer Day, Sunday 5 December 2021. Grants are available to deliver a range of events and activities including: award ceremonies; workshops, seminars and talks; morning and afternoon tea; excursions and day trips; barbeques and dinners.

Grant:  Australian Government Department of Home Affairs – Safer Communities Fund, Round 6 – Infrastructure Grants

Areas of support: This round of the Safer Communities Fund gives schools and pre-schools, places of religious worship, community organisations and local councils grants of up to $500,000 for crime prevention initiatives aimed at reducing crime, violence, anti-social behaviour and/or other security risks driven by racial and/or religious intolerance.

Application deadline: 5 August 2021 

Grant value: Grants available are between $10,000 and $500,000. The maximum grant amount per location or school campus is $250,000.
