Grant:  Creative Australia: Creative Futures Fund 

Areas of support: The Creative Futures Fund is an initiative of the National Cultural Policy – Revive: a place for every story, a story for every place referenced in the Policy as “Works of Scale”. The Fund will support the creation and sharing of Australian stories, and new ways for people to engage with them. The Fund is not a traditional grant program. It is a new way for Creative Australia to invest to support artistic works that build partnerships, drive engagement, and attract other sources of revenue and investment. Seeking great ideas that are genuinely innovative and unexpected. This includes new works and projects that may leverage existing intellectual property.

Grant:  Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries – Gaming Community Trust 

Areas of support: The Gaming Community Trust (the Trust) grant program is funded through the unclaimed winnings of casino gaming and wagering in Western Australia. Projects must demonstrate a benefit to the community, be benevolent or charitable in nature and align to one or more of the categories. The 5 categories are: Aboriginal Promotion; Disability Inclusion; Problem Gambling Harm Reduction; Community Sports Engagement; Community Culture.

Grant:  Groundswell – Climate Action Grant 

Areas of support: The grants fund strategic climate advocacy to shift power, politics and legislation for decisive, rapid and just greenhouse gas emissions reductions this decade. Specifically, funding people and organisations working to shift power, build political will and implement the legislation we need across the country to unlock greater climate ambition and limit global heating to safer levels. Funding advocacy that: builds the movement – activates new and strategic demographics or sectors to get involved in tackling the climate crisis; changes the story – builds urgency for stronger action from trusted voices in our community; shifts the money – dries up the pipeline of funding to fossil fuel companies; changes the politics – enables greater leadership within state and federal Governments.

Grant:  Arts Queensland – First Nations Commissioning Fund Round 5 

Areas of support: The First Nations Commissioning Fund is focused on investing in opportunities that share First Nations stories and cultural knowledge and elevate awareness of Queensland’s exceptional First Nations arts and cultural products and experiences. Objectives: support the development and presentation of new work and cultural programs by First Nations artists, arts workers and organisations; strengthen skills development and provide new employment opportunities for First Nations artists and arts workers; grow a pipeline of high-quality First Nations arts, cultural products, and experiences.

Areas of support: Content Grants support the development, production and distribution of content via Australian community media. Grant:  Agriculture Victoria – garinga djimbayang Grants Program 

Areas of support: The garinga djimbayang Grants Program supports partnerships between TAFEs and Registered Aboriginal Parties (RAPs) in Victoria to embed Aboriginal traditional knowledge and practices in elements of accredited agriculture training. It is a part of the Agricultural College Modernisation Program. The program’s objectives are to: integrate Aboriginal traditional knowledge and practices into elements of accredited agriculture training; ensure accredited training delivered through the program is culturally safe; encourage more First Nations people to pursue training and/or careers in agriculture; recognise the value of Aboriginal traditional knowledge and practices in agriculture.

Areas of support: The program provides aged care infrastructure grants aimed at maintaining or increasing access to quality aged care services in thin market settings for people: from First Nations communities; living in regional, rural, and remote areas; who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless; with other complex and diverse needs, including dementia; improve viability and sustainability of service offerings.
